Dr. Ray Wisniewski - Antidepressants can lead to strokes

Based on a study by the researchers from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and published in the Archives of Intertnal medicine, taking antidepressants significantly increase the risk of strokes in post-menopausal women.

136,293 women between the ages of 50 and 79 were studied for an average of six years each.  Those taking antidepressants were 45 percent more likely to suffer from a stroke in that time than the women not taking the drugs.  They were also 32 percent more likely to die from that cause.
